• Plant your Convallaria rhizomes in moist, well-drained, fertile soil.
• Plant the "pips", as the roots are called about 2” (5 cm) deep and 4-5” (10-13 cm) apart.
• Water thoroughly after planting.

• Convallaria perform best in a shady or semi-shady location. However, they will also grow in sun as long as the soil is kept consistently moist.
• You can combine them with other shade-loving plants such as Hostas.
• Water your Convallaria regularly throughout the growing season. Convallaria won’t tolerate dry soil in summer!

• In the fall, add plenty of organic material such as well rotted manure or compost.
• As hardy perennials, your Convallaria rhizomes will survive frost and stay in the ground all year round. Adding mulch to the soil will help give them extra protection.
• They increase rapidly and need to be replanted every three or four years in order that large flowers may be obtained.
