Planting

If you can not plant your bulbs right away store them in a cool, dry, dark location, like a basement.

Fill a 6-8” pot half way with soil.

Plant the bulb with the pointed end up leaving 1/3 of the bulb exposed. Gently pack the soil between the roots and around the bulb.

Keep soil moist not wet and never water over the bulb nose, always around the sides of the pot.

Plantation

Si vous ne pouvez pas planter vos bulbes tout de suite, conservez-les dans un endroit frais, sec et sombre; une cave par exemple.

Remplir à moitié un pot de 15-20 cm de diamètre.

Planter le bulbe en laissant visible 1/3 de celui-ci. Tasser doucement la terre au niveau des racines et autour du bulbe.

Conserver le terreau un peu humide et ne jamais arroser au niveau de la pointe du bulbe, toujours entre le bulbe et le pot.

Growing

Growing

Amaryllis grow best in direct sunlight at room temperature 21˚C/70˚F.

Move the plant out of direct sunlight when flowers appear to prolong the bloom time.

Rotate the pot occasionally to prevent the stem from bending towards the light.

Plant will bloom 8-10 weeks after planting.

Croissance

L’Amaryllis pousse mieux en pleine lumière et à une température de 21˚C.

Taking Care

When blooms fade, cut off the flower stems near the top of the bulb, leaving the foliage to continue growing.

Water as usual and apply water-soluble fertilizer every 4 weeks.

Une fois les fleurs fanées, couper les tiges à la base du bulbe, et laisser le feuillage se développer.

Re-growing your Amaryllis bulb

After the danger of frost has passed, sink the Amaryllis pot in a sunny place in your garden for the summer.

Keep watering and continue to fertilize during the summer.

Pour une seconde floraison

Une fois les dernières gelées, placer le pot d’Amaryllis dans un endroit ensoleillé dans votre jardin pour l’été.

Continuer d’arroser et de fertiliser régulièrement.

Preparing for new flowers

Cut off the leaves at the end of the summer and bring the bulb back inside.

Repot the bulb in fresh soil and start the growing cycle again.

Couper les feuilles à la fin de l’été, et rentrer le bulbe à l’intérieur.

Rempoter le bulbe dans un terreau neuf et recommencer le cycle de croissance.
